KOP (formerly known as NFP) and MSP scholarships

The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs provides KOP (formerly known as NFP) and MSP scholarships for the RNTC courses for media and communications professionals from a variety of partner countries. The scholarships include a contribution towards the cost of living, the course fees, visa, travel and insurance. If applicable, the scholarship holder is expected to cover the difference between actual costs and the KOP or MSP scholarship amount.

The scholarships are administered by Nuffic, the Netherlands Organisation for International Cooperation in Higher Education. KOP stands for ‘Kennisontwikkelingsprogramma’ and these scholarships are available for 28 countries. MSP stands for ‘MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Scholarship Programme’ and is available for 9* countries. Please check below whether you meet the criteria to apply for a KOP or MSP scholarship.

* MSP is also open to applicants of Syrian nationality who are residing and working outside of Syria in one of the other selected MENA countries.

Application

You can apply twice a year during an ‘application window’ to see if you are eligible for a KOP or MSP scholarship. There are many more applications than there are scholarships available. Therefore, it is important that you meet all of the RNTC criteria (see individual course pages) as well as the Nuffic criteria, which you can find at the bottom of this page. If you meet all the RNTC ánd Nuffic criteria, and you would like to apply, then please follow all the steps in our How to apply page. The current application window is open from 5 September to 24 October 2017!

Do you need help applying? Please have a look at our FAQ’s, contact the local RNTC Ambassador or email us at info@rntc.com

Other scholarships

Next to the KOP and MSP scholarships, there are several other scholarships available that you can check at the bottom of this page.
