Academic activities for secondary school students take place in the morning but this is not so for students of Government Junior Secondary School as they go to farm in the morning and resume school in the afternoon due to lack of learning facilities and wrecked building. GJSS secondary school, located in Gelengu, Balanga Local Government of Gombe State, was established in March 2013 through a Universal Basic Education Commission and State Universal Basic Education Board project.
